Leap of Faith

Leap of faith is all that I hear,
That you repeat, when all else fail.
Trial and error and a scientific tenor,
Is that your 'learned helplessness' of this hour?

You argue for a 'moral certitude',
With an odd precision in orderless life,
For a committed marriage to last forever,
That's mere impossible, and you know it well!

If you failed any time you tried,
Trying harder will ever make sense?
I hear your cry, that you worry,
Of a shipwreck, even when the sea is calm!

It's a choice to be in this sea,
For every voyage has it's potential,
It doesn't calculate as an easy sum,
But a journey worth making if it's a sea!

Beloved, let's learn this magic,
Together with the precision of a scientist,
In failing each other we invent all our secrets,
And so we find a logic, indeed in this leap of faith!
