An ancient unloved forest!
Above a canopy clouding the sky,
Beneath thee young and pretty!
Bold and bewildered you shrink!
To fit a mould of 'tree hides',
To survive this dark and devil.
Growling carnivorous beasts,
Growing dark long shadows.
No birds sing any sweet,
Nor any friendly face! but hostile-
Man-eaters all around,
Moving in chorus like a dark-carnival!
I am a lone hunter to these trees,
In every corner I keep traps,
With the eloquence of an artist-
Who hides in his art with gentle strokes!
You my pretty dream, fear not!
yonder skys sure to open
The door of love like thunder!
To break the bark of your fears.
Me thy dreamer have cast,
Many a trap to prey thy fears fast.
And holding you in my arms,
And you grab me with my sweat,
Let's hop and swing like Tarzan!
Let love be our strangler roots on our move!
Above a canopy clouding the sky,
Beneath thee young and pretty!
Bold and bewildered you shrink!
To fit a mould of 'tree hides',
To survive this dark and devil.
Growling carnivorous beasts,
Growing dark long shadows.
No birds sing any sweet,
Nor any friendly face! but hostile-
Man-eaters all around,
Moving in chorus like a dark-carnival!
I am a lone hunter to these trees,
In every corner I keep traps,
With the eloquence of an artist-
Who hides in his art with gentle strokes!
You my pretty dream, fear not!

The door of love like thunder!
To break the bark of your fears.
Me thy dreamer have cast,
Many a trap to prey thy fears fast.
And holding you in my arms,
And you grab me with my sweat,
Let's hop and swing like Tarzan!
Let love be our strangler roots on our move!
