Me reclined to this window sill,
Sat to listen if any stepping sound,
Of your bare dancing feet,
Finding it's way to my little hut!
Me gazing the sun with a squint,
Saw silver and gold shadows move.
Wide open pupils scanned any wave,
Waiting to be seen at my door!
And as my senses dropped all hopes,
Humbly to know there was none!
And I stooped to my bed,
Begging for a pillow to cry.
Dancing a step ever wished I knew,
Came your smiles knocking at my door,
Burning my soul silver and gold, and roaring-
Romance drowned us in smiles.
Sat to listen if any stepping sound,
Of your bare dancing feet,
Finding it's way to my little hut!
Me gazing the sun with a squint,
Saw silver and gold shadows move.
Wide open pupils scanned any wave,
Waiting to be seen at my door!
And as my senses dropped all hopes,
Humbly to know there was none!
And I stooped to my bed,
Begging for a pillow to cry.
Dancing a step ever wished I knew,
Came your smiles knocking at my door,
Burning my soul silver and gold, and roaring-
Romance drowned us in smiles.
