The Twenty Questions

Was my birth,
The evolution of me to flesh,
A mathematical puzzle?
'One plus one is equal to one!'

Was my first question,
To the woman I knew as my mom,
A philosophical dilemma?
'Where did I come from?'

Was the first question at my school,
About the rented saintly name,
The simplest and deepest definition of me?
'What is your name?'

Why on my first date,
While we still were strangers,
Though she had twenty questions,
Asked me only of the day and weather?

Why on our wedding night,
She had her twenty questions,
And asked them all in a breath!
Knowing that I may fail,
She joined me to answer,
All in our warmth of breaths!
'One plus one is equal to one!'?
